ABOUT

Tribal Fever is William & Mary's official student athletics fan club. Our goal is to create and maintain a culture of school spirit centered around athletic events and expanding into the College community as a whole. The Tribal Fever seeks to increase awareness of sporting events on campus with a goal of increasing student attendance at Tribe sports events. Additionally, we plan to foster opportunities to create a better bond between students and student-athletes, and a growth in Tribe spirit as a whole.

Longest amount of time spent in Swem: a better question is greatest number of times cried in one trip to Swem. Probably 5 hours.

Favorite Tribe Athletics moment: almost winning our first football game of the season at UVA. That was my first college game ever and I enjoyed wearing a morph suit while everyone at UVA was dressed like they were going to a fancy brunch.

Spirit Coordinator

Megan Nguyen

Megan is a sophomore from Falls Church, VA who is majoring in Business Marketing.

Most freshman moment: Somehow running out of flex money in the first 2-3 weeks being here.

Favorite Tribe Athletics Moment: The Gold Rush game hands down. I have never seen so many students in for a game and this is how it should be everytime. There was so much energy even though #PiPhiGoldRush didn't win.

Marketing Director

Trip Harris

Longest amount of time spent in Swem: around 20 hours

Most freshman moment: calling my professor mom. Rookie move.

Most freshman moment: I don't remember the difference between Richmond Road and Jamestown sometimes...

Favorite Tribe Athletics moment: The basketball game against JMU for sure. I had no voice the next day from screaming so loudly.

Coolest place she's ever been: Harry Potter World. Possibly the greatest place on earth.

Why is she a part of Tribal Fever: I'm literally obsessed with sports, and I love being around other FANatics. I want to help bring people to the games to create a better experience for everyone.

Favorite Tribe Athletics moment: Mmm, either football or men's basketball beating JMU...both were so hype. Also meeting Jill Ellis

Coolest place he's ever been: Lived in Fiji for ~2 years before we were evacuated because of a military coup.

Most Freshman Moment: Going to a wrong class on the 3rd day of school because I forgot what time my class was.

Favorite Tribe Athletics moment: JMU Football Game (#2 would be JMU Basketball game). The heart the team showed to come back was incredible, and having the student section actually affect the outcome of the game with the ending fumble made the upset even sweeter.

Why he is a part of Tribal Fever: W&M shows so much pride for its academics, yet that same spirit doesn't always carry over to athletics--I want to try and be a part of the solution to that. Plus, I'm simply addicted to sports.
